| New Noise.io contest! Published: November 17, 2008 Dear Noise.io users, We're happy to announce another contest! This time, the rules are again very easy: Record a video of Noise.io in action and post it on the YouTube. The prize fund consists of 10 Official Noise.io T-shirts ("It comes from my heart") which we're luckily able to send to any place on Earth. Your video has to be longer that 1 minute and have decent sound quality. So, there will be 10 (or less) winners. We'll evaluate the results on the 1st December! Read More... |
| 1.1.3 Update available Published: November 15, 2008 Dear Noise.io users, 1.1.3 is available now for updating. What's new: + Bug fixes (thanks for reporting!) + Mapping parameter "Offset Scale" to Acc. Roll and Acc. Tilt does not produce any pitch changes. We had to do this because there was too much trouble with mr. Christopher Penrose and we have neither no time nor the funds to sort it out. However, we might get back to it later. You can still map all other parameters to accelerometer. Read More... |

***This is not a final feature list. We can still change it a bit (adding something) and of course we will add more pictures soon!***
Before proceeding to the Feature List - we would like to underline that Noise.io is a completely new kind of a musical instrument.
Noise.io does not reflect or copy any existing synth structure, design or principles.
We've designed Noise.io to become the true 21st century synth. So you won't find any "VCO" or "VCF"-like abbreviations.
There are no knobs! ("omg! synth with no knobs?! how can that be?!"
)
We've tried to simplify everything down, in order to let the musicians create, instead of reading manuals. And - thanks to the iPhone excellent features - we've designed several new interface elements, which are through all the Noise.io's Editor. You can read about them in the Highlights section.

...there are so many features that it is quite possible that we've forgot something | |
...any questions? Ask them in our forum!
To tell the truth, at the moment we ourselves at Amidio have not yet explored all the sonic possibilities of Noise.io. However the range of sounds is broadened by Noise.io's monophonic nature. So creating multi-layered "mega chords" will be possible only if you record separate pitches with the same envelopes and then layer them up in a DAW (digital audio workstation).
But, Noise.io is suitable for almost all other things:
Please remember that after creating a sound, you can fire up Pitch Sequencer and create a melody using that instrument!
